There are a lot of women on a message board on ivillage that have went through vrs with their spouses. Some had sperm present at time of vr, others didn't, and some are ttc or already had their blessings. Not always are there sperm present. I would look around and make sure that your dr doing the vr does quite a few a year and does it under microsurgery. I wouldn't rule out traveling either. There are drs that do it from $1500-$12000. If you don't feel comfortable with that dr, I would search some more. Dr. Leverett (the one in TX) has had successful VR with a vas that was 30 years old.
