Need Some Help On Crappie Fishing .?

At a local reservoir i fish i have been trying to target crappies. i have not been able to find them but i have been finding perch and bluegills. i have been fishing falldowns, and submerged timber without any success. where should i try fishing and are there any depths crappie tend to stay in
