Tooth infection and extraction tomorrow?

Ive had a severe tooth infection for 10 days, antibiotics have helped but im still in alot of pain.... tomorrow im going back to the dentist to have the tooth removed... im worried as i know the anasthetic doesnt work very well on infected teeth, so im worried about the pain.. but ive noticed the infected tooth is quite wobbly (its my upper 2nd molar)... its not overly loose, but if i grip it, i can wobble it (although not anymore as its too painful to touch).... will it being loose make the extraction easier? and has it become loose because of the infection? thanks
