Should the war on terror be renamed the "war on securing US national interests abroad"?
Since the US has sponsored and engaged in terrorist tactics, the name "war on terror" is quite ironic. The US only wants to ensure its hegemony, which is why they invade convenient oil-rich locations in the middle east so that large oil companies can profit off of it. It wouldn't be good if any country nationalized its oil reserves. Also, its always good for the US to have "US-friendly leaders" overseas. Thats why the US overthrow leaders in many countries and replacing them with tyrants. Part of building an empire, and securing its resources, of course.
