Whats with all these black people protesting and banning Huckleberry Finn????

looking for deep and thoughful answers and not retorts aim to counter the question. and i know "what's wrong" is the use of the N word. so please none of that captain obvious stuff. There was this doentary about black people protesting the book. i have an african american friend that appreciates the book because it "captures the essense of those times" and "retells history". we had a discussion and came to the conclusion that what is wrong is what is wrong with the people and not what's wrong with the book. Twain wrote the book according to those times and Huck is a little kid who was submerse in Southern culture so he doesnt know any better, the N word evolved from *****. what about Uncle Tom's cabin, that great book of emancipation and questing for the end of slavery?? had a lot of N words too?? Im not putting down black people but i think that we should be exposed to our past, its not like we are reading Huck Finn in elementry school, its for 11th graders and such,
