Ragdolls and Maine Coons?

I have a Maine Coon and his coat has always been and always will be very thick and shaggy.When it gets hot here, he is very uncomfortable. You can tell because he's lazier than usual. It's a chore for him to leave his spot in front of the fan even to eat. I would not suggest getting a Maine Coon unless he'll be living in an air conditioned home. I will say though - Maine Coon's are awesome and I've never had a more loving pet in my life.
